Plant protection — Workflow & concepts

The Plant protection area in Vinitor covers the complete lifecycle of your plant protection measures — from managing active substances and products through defining reusable tank mixes to creating concrete spray plans with automatic task generation. All data is documented in compliance with Regulation 2023/564 and can be exported as PDF or CSV.

Navigation

The plant protection area is divided into four tabs in the upper navigation bar:

Spray plan	Overview and creation of spray plans with automatic task generation
Tank mixes	Reusable spray recipes combining multiple plant protection products
Products	Database of all approved and custom plant protection products
Active substances	Alphabetical list of all active substances from the BAES database

At the top right is the Export button, from which you can download all plant protection data as PDF or CSV.

Workflow

The data in the plant protection area builds on each other. To create a spray plan, you first need the underlying master data:

1. Active substances — active ingredients provided by the BAES database
2. Products — plant protection products with registration numbers, active substances and product types
3. Tank mixes — recipes that combine multiple products with dosages
4. Spray plan — concrete plan with period, vineyards and employees, which automatically creates tasks

Tip

Vinitor draws active substance and plant protection product data directly from the Austrian BAES database (Bundesamt für Ernährungssicherheit). Approval data, active substances and product types are therefore always up to date. You can additionally create your own custom products.

Permissions

Access to the plant protection area is controlled via Roles:

Permission	Description
PLANT_PROTECTION_READ	View spray plans, tank mixes, products and active substances
PLANT_PROTECTION_WRITE	Create and edit spray plans, tank mixes and products

Export

Two formats are available via the Export button at the top right:

Format	Use
PDF	Print-ready documentation for authorities and inspections
CSV	Tabular data for further processing in Excel or other programs
